Walmart streaming service has been reported as being in the works with the help of Mark Greenberg. The new streaming service is deemed the streaming service for the “Middle Class“, cutting down the price of the average Netflix subscription.
It’s worth keeping in mind that this project is still currently in early development and there is no set time for an announcement on this service. If Walmart Streaming Service is approved we should expect to hear something later this summer or by late fall.
Walmart is making the right moves by bringing Mark Greenberg onboard. Mark Greenberg is well known in the TV industry and was most recently the CEO of Epix. Mark also held high-level jobs at HBO, Showtime, and Blockbuster.
It is too early to speculate as to what this service will offer. However, with Mark Greenberg’s past and with the service Vudu this can give us some insight as to what might be in store.
