Kodi v18 Beta is in its final stages. So we can expect the final release to be anytime. Most all of the bugs have been removed in Kodi v18 Beta 5. You can expect for there to be some issues, however, most of the main issues have been resolved. As with any new release you may find that your favorite add-ons are not compatible with this version of Kodi. With most Kodi Betas the most popular add-ons tend to update their add-ons as soon as the beta is available. You can expect that most of your favorite add-ons will work especially since we are on Kodi v18 Beta 5. However, this is not a guarantee so expect to run into issues until the final version is released.

Kodi v18 Beta Install Guide

If you wish to try out the new Kodi v18 Beta please follow the steps below to get Kodi installed and set up for access to your favorite add-ons. Before you can follow our Kodi v18 Beta install guide you will need to have already installed FileLinked so that you can access our Easy Builder App. When you have FileLinked installed on your Amazon Fire TV or Amazon Fire TV Stick proceed to the steps below to install Kodi v18 Beta.

  • Enter the code 76394002 and click continue

  • The Easy Builder App opens click on Kodi v18 Beta to start downloading it

  • Wait for the download to finish

  • Once the download finishes Click on Kodi v18 Beta again to start the install

  • Select install

  • Wait for the install to finish

  • Click Done

  • Return to the Amazon Fire TV home screen
  • Press the home button on the Amazon remote for 3-5sec. Select Apps

  • Scroll to the bottom of the list and highlight Kodi v18 Beta
  • Using your Amazon Remote press the three line button and select move to front

  • Return to the Amazon Fire TV home screen
  • Click on Kodi v18 Beta

  • Click continue if you get the info popup

  • Wait for Kodi v18 Beta to finish preparing for first run

  • Click on the settings icon at the top of the Kodi menu

  • Now, click on System

  • Next, scroll down on the menu and highlight Add-ons

  • On the right pane turn on Unknown Sources
  • A warning popup will appear

  • Select Yes on the warning box

  • Congrats! Kodi v18 Beta 5 has now been officially installed onto your Amazon Fire TV. By allowing Apps from Unknown Sources in the Kodi Settings you can now install your favorite Kodi add-ons.
